Continental Grain Company sells wheat, grain and soybeans to Latin American. Denny Herzberg eventually came to work for Vitusa, and found a true passion for his work. After seven years of hard work for Vitusa, Denny Herzberg was named president of the corporation.

Vitusa Corp, founded in 1956 and based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, specializes in the distribution of Animal Nutritional Feed Ingredient products, intended for the Dairy Industry. Under the leadership of Denny Herzberg, Vitusa has become a global distributor, now distributing its products to South American, Central America, Asia, and the Middle East. Though he has already established himself as a committed leader, Denny Herzberg hopes to continue to grow Vitusa further into new markets.

As president, Denny Herzberg also hopes to bring team-building to Vitusa. “While I was in college at The University of Miami my mentors stressed the importance of team building exercises. I consistently completed group projects as part of my curriculum, and I never realized how beneficial these projects would be in the future. As I started working in management positions, I realized that not everyone has had similar team experiences that I have. I think it is my duty as the President of Vitusa to help create a synergy amongst my team so I can effectively lead them in the future.”

“I was thrilled back in 1977 to be offered the position of President at Vitusa. I know with my extensive leadership experience I will be able help the team experience new successes.” Denny Herzberg says. Looking forward, Herzberg says, “I have created icebreakers to help my team feel more comfortable around each other. It also serves as a time where I can identify the strengths of each individual. After seven years of hard work for Vitusa, Denny Herzberg was named president of the corporation. It is thanks to his extensive education in business models that led Denny Herzberg to his prestigious position.

The University of Miami has been ranked as the 54th best undergraduate program in the nation by BusinessWeek, and the having 16th best business program in the nation by The Wall Street Journal. It is no wonder Denny Herzberg has a great respect for his former school and learned so much there. “I am very pleased that I received my degree from the University of Miami. I chose the school because of their high rankings and recognition in the business field. I always wanted to go to a smaller school so I could build meaningful relationships with the faculty, and so I could receive more one-on-one attention. I think I owe a lot of my success to the education I received while at the institution. The faculty had an innovative way of teaching business techniques, many of which I still utilize today,” Herzberg says.

It was his time at the University that inspired Denny Herzberg to institute new team-building exercises at Vitusa. “While I was in college at The University of Miami,” Denny Herzberg says, “my mentors stressed the importance of team building exercises. Danny Herzberg, Dedicated to Charity

Denny Herzberg is the president of Vitusa Corp, a business based on the distribution of Animal Nutritional Feed Ingredient products, intended for the Dairy Industry. Vitusa Corp was founded in 1956, and it is based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Denny Herzberg, through Vitusa, has opened its distribution to a global scale, distributing its products to various countries over multiple continents. Denny Herzberg has overseen Vitusa's expansion into South American, Central America, Asia and the Middle East.

Denny Herzberg is also dedicated to giving back to his community. He is a community leader, working with various volunteer activities in both New Jersey and New York. Denny Herzberg is also a member of the Rotary Club of the Fleischman's New York chapter, and serves on the board of directors for the Belleayre Music Conservatory.

Denny Herzberg believes charity is an important part not just of ones persona life, but of ones business life as well, seeing charity as an excellent way to boost a business' public appearance “Charity has always been a huge part of my life. I think it helps create good work ethic and positive character traits in volunteers. I have met so many lifelong friends while working at the Belleayre Music Conservatory and at the Rotary Club. Sometimes I think that I don’t have time to serve on top of my work schedule; however, I realized that through time management I can always find areas in my schedule when I can serve,” Herzberg says.

“I think we have to give back with gratitude what we took in. As a European Immigrant to the Dominican Republic, it meant survival and escape from the horrors of Europe during WWII, therefore, I now do what I can not only in the United States but also in the Dominican Republic, country which gave my parents and I a new life,” Denny Herzberg continued.

Denny Herzberg on the Board of Directors at Belleayre Music Conservatory

Denny Herzberg is perhaps most proud of serving on the board of directors for the Belleayre Music Conservatory, based in Highmount, New York. Denny Herzberg sees the Belleayre Music Conservatory as perhaps one of the greatest boons to the Catskills area, dedicated to promoting cultural programs that support Belleayre Mountain as a vital resource.
“Back in 1990, the State of New York threatened to close the Belleayre Mountain Ski Center.
The center has been a huge part of our community, and I did not want to see it close. A bunch of us gathered together to raise the funds to keep the center open. Now, the conservatory offers annual events that have become part of our culture here. The Catskill Forest Preserve is such a beautiful area and I am happy I can help preserve it so more people can continue to experience it,” Danny Herzberg says.

Perhaps the Belleayre Music Conservatory's biggest even is a summer music festival. The music festival helps raise funds to keep the Bellayre Center open. “I am thrilled that I can be a part of the Belleayre Music Festival. This concert series has become a huge event in our area that many people look forward to. Not only does it provide entertainment, but it also provides the conservatory with the funds to continue their mission.”
